Balloon Basics

Balloons! Balloons! Nothing says "Let's Party!" like a room bursting with
festive balloons! Whether you're celebrating a birthday, an important milestone
or a special seasonal holiday you'll make a big impression with a roomful
of beautiful balloons.
Our professional balloon experts tell us that for any party, there are
4 key types of balloon decorations or structures that are perfect for
every occasion.
- Columns: Columns are typically 8 ft – 10ft vertical displays, consisting
of 13-15 balloons. Columns are great for framing doorways and other
entrances. The thickest of columns is known as a pillar, and are typically
12' ft –15 ft tall.
- Arches: Arches can be single strands, layered for a rainbow effect,
placed side-by-side for a canopy effect, or combined to create spiral,
spotted, linear or mixed arches. Spotlight your buffet tables, entrance
ways or dance floors with arches.
- Centerpieces: Balloon centerpieces look their best when you float
approximately 10-12 balloons about 4' ft up and out from a central,
theme-related object like a plush stuffed animal, plastic toy or flower
bouquet. Balloons are typically attached with colorful curling ribbon
and secured to the centerpiece with balloon weights.
- Clouds: Larger than a centerpiece, a cloud design includes approximately
20-22 balloons. The cluster or cloud of balloons is secured to the center
of the ceiling high overhead and colorful streamers are draped to each
corner of the room.
